Bruxel Glocal
This conference on cities, urbanity and urban interventionist took place on 21 February 2003 in Brussels’ Palais des Beaux Arts.
With three aims –an open debate with all stakeholders on the social, economic and architectural fabric of Brussels, a critical discussion on innovative methods for urban interventions and the formation of a glocal coalition – Bruxel Glocal brought together a diverse group of European academics, architects, artists and activists. A state of affairs of current political-economic and cultural-social parameters and a description of urban intervention in Brussels, were followed by a debate on how urban interventions can contribute to more socially just metropolis.
