Sinds 2001 multi-lingual poly-disciplinary nerve centre for emerging creativity in Brussels.
No. 43 rue des Chartreux, a building located in the centre of Brussels, had been empty for quite a long time. In November 2000 first contacts were with Partena, the owner, who was in favour of the proposal to temporarily use the vacant building as a cultural laboratory. A rental agreement was concluded for a period of two years. The building was named No. 43 and a collective of users assumed responsibility for its refurbishment.
The common meeting room is currently used not only by those organisations, which have taken up space in the building but by many outside organisations as well. The programme includes all kinds of activities, but mostly meetings, conferences, concerts and exhibitions.
Users include Patton, V+, Souterrain Production, Polymorfilms, Patrick Van Roye, Vox, fotolab, Delights, Aphraate, Mad Spirit, Radio Boups
